Developing an editorial video strategy for 15 magazines proved to be an interesting challenge. How can we reach a fast moving online audience with editorial content? And how can we monetise those videos?
By analysing performance metrics I was able to forecast what numbers fresh content will pull in. At the same time I was researching each magazine and looked at what kind of videos would elevate each platform.
I delivered an Editorial Video Business Case at the end of an interim contract (July 2017) and the strategy is being rolled out at the moment.
The biggest success story came from Beautify, which Facebook account reaches 55 million views each month, with a thoroughly mapped out content strategy that I developed with my team. The most popular video reached one million views organically in less than a day.
For several clients I was also involved in developing and producing videos. Writing scripts, storyboarding, setting up the production teams, directing and overseeing the post-production.
