The spring commercial for LiGA was produced as a video for a famous Dutch song (Opzij Opzij), but with lyrics tailor-made for the famous cookie.
The advertising agency wrote a script that spans a full year in The Netherlands, with typically Dutch holidays and habits. The biggest challenge was to get the casting going (with more than 50 extra's) and find the locations that would be highlighted in different seasons throughout the year.
I was hired by production company CLIFF to overlook the project, hire crew, manage the budget and make sure everything was in place during the shoot. Being an executive producer as well as doing account managing, I collaborated tightly with the producer and the creatives of the advertising agency in making sure to deliver a rich commercial.
With 30 locations in five days of shooting, this was a hectic but really fun production. It serves the purpose and shows the busy lives we lead (occasionally having a break with a cookie).
